Yo dudes and dudettes. The Lb is working this summer away practicing new songs, perfecting new songs, rewriting new songs, and recording some new songs for a demo we are doing., and that's the plan for now....but........

I have received a unbelievable amount of e-mails and messages regarding the new c.d. when it's coming out etc. etc. I am sorry to say, I don't have any solid answers for you. Our Engineer who has all of the masters has been extremely difficult to work with, and extremely difficult to keep communications open with. We went out there expecting to record an album for a set amount we had, maybe shop it (numerous labels have taken interest), maybe release it on our on....we didn't really know....we just knew we had some good songs on our hands. It is looking more and more like we will record the new record AGAIN...completely.....locally....and improve these already great 10 songs we have and basically not have to deal with someone who doesn't get what WE do as a band, or what WE want to do as a band.

This has been an extremely hard time for us...just waiting around for things to get rolling. It's not easy to realize that you have possibly the greatest musical achievement in your life but you can't show a single person. Please pray for us if you get the chance. We truly feel it as a band....and yeah.

We are beginning to play out a lot...yet again in the next few coming months...so keep your eyes peeled for dates. Quite a few can spring up last minute, so always check myspace for our newest dates.

Hey kids. Well.....long time coming but....we got a temporary site up and running, while we work on geting a new one up and ready to go. this....again....is only a temporary site, so we will have a full site back up and running in the next coupe of months.

in other news, Brad Trott has decided to leave lucerin blue, he has been playing bass with us for about a year now. We wish him all the best at his new job where he will make the millions we never will. ha.

The new album....the new album....the new album. This has been the topic of many heated debates, arguments, and general stress for the lucerin blue camp the last few months. Having originally done the bed tracks almost 6 months ago, and vocals 4 1/2 months ago it has been a long, drawn out, draining, and generally frustrating experience for us. But....we still stand behind this record 110%. there have even been kids at some shows that already know the words to these songs, which has been an encouraging thing for us. But we have decided the best thing for us to do at this point is take the tail end of july, and almost all of august off, regroup, find a new bass player, and finish the record on our own terms. This might include rewriting some stuff, it might not....I'm not really sure at this point. I just play drums...ya know?? It's nearly impossible to balance full time jobs, wives/girlfriends, and 10-15 shows a month (and that's just weekends kids...), but somehow we've been doing it for the last 5 months. needless to say...it has burned us out. to finish this record in the correct way, we need to take this time off. we will still be playing sonshine fest and a few dates around toledo and detroit in July, but that's it. we will hit back...and hard, hopefully with a new record in hand the last week in August. and that's that.

and you have to believe me when I say we stand behind this record. We feel it is easily the best thing we have ever done, and we are aware bands say that for every new record they put out, but this is BY FAR the most timeless, driving, emotional, and big sounding record we've done (and technically....this is record number three for us...so...we would know). some track titles for the new record are: (some are tentative)
-a token masterpiece
-my theme song is hate
-of malls and men
-photograph of a crime scene
-haunt me to sleep
-croquette, my fair lady (tentative title)
-peasants and pitchforks (tentative title)

and that's that. photograph is still available to listen at our purevolume site. it's a great little rock number, and probably one of my fav's to play live.

I'm going to try and keep up on the updates on this thing from now on. learn a little HTML...do that sorta stuff....you know how it is. dates should also be made available on this site soon. watch for those as well. because that changes and gets updated on our myspace account a lot.

the best thing you can do for us right now if you're wondering, is just get friends and non-friends to check us out on myspace and purevolume. and just keep spreading the word about LB. this record WILL come out...we WILL tour again. We didn't write these 10 GREAT songs to just throw them away and do NOTHING with them. just pray for us if you have time, it is the greatest gift given to us, and it really makes a difference. thanks.

til next time!!
